This is a very hard topic for many children to cope with since they do not fully understand sometimes what is happening. Overcoming sadness is what the books purpose is. The story is about a girl, Amanda Martha, trying to understand her mother’s depression. Which at times causes her mother to be sad, cry, or even be in bed all day.
