Percy Jackson Myths

An example of an actual mythology in the first movie of Percy Jackson, The Lightning Thief, is Medusa. Some other similarities are that they were both leaders and they had to deal with sacrifice. They were both leaders because they led their men/friends into whatever they were doing and they were somewhat of the main character. For example, when he defeated the cyclops, instead of carrying on with the mission, he taunted the cyclops and let his name be known. Another contrast is their “powers”. Odysseus had the power of being more intelligent and wise than all other men, while Percy had the power to breathe underwater and control/create water from his father,
