Percy Jackson Chapter 3 Summary

A normal boy named Percy Jackson soon finds out he is a half-blood. Percy struggles to read properly because he has dyslexia and he mixes up words. The school is taking a field trip to a museum. Percy encounters a demon while at the museum. It is a flying creature that wants Zeus' Lightning Bolt. Percy has no idea what it is talking about. So Percy goes back home with Grover. Grover is Percy's best friend and his protector. After he reaches home Percy talks to his mom about what happened on the field trip. Then his mom finally tells Percy that his father is Poseidon. Grover soon tells Percy that he has to leave since he discovered he was a half-blood. They are driving to a camp called Camp Half-Blood. On the way to the camp , they encounter …show more content…
She is a ruthless , smart warrior yet she is a girl. As Grover, Annabeth and Percy take off on their mission they encounter a six headed dragon in a museum. Percy now uses his pen sword or his "Riptide" to destroy the beast. The team discovers a map after they kill the beast. This map leads them to a much more dangerous thing. As they follow the map , they finally bump into Medusa. She can turn people into stone with the snakes on top of her head. Annabeth comes up with plan to defeat Medusa. Grover distracts her while Annabeth gets a mirror so she will turn her own self into stone. The last challenge lies ahead of them as the follow the map to last place. It leads to Jason or their former friend. He stole Zeus' Lightning Bolt. Grover is injured from the last battle with Medusa so its just Percy and Annabeth. Annabeth gets taken out from the lightning bolt by Jason. Now it is down to Percy and Jason. They are fighting on top of a building. Percy uses his ability to draw water from objects and turn them into a weapon to defeat Jason. Jason, now struggling to breath from being underwater disappears into the Mist leaving the Lightning Bolt. Percy retrieves it and returns it to Zeus himself and sees his
