“Family Luke. You promised.” This is a quote from The Last Olympian, the final book in the Percy Jackson series. However, this quote, and the book it comes from, are not included in the movie franchise. The Percy Jackson books are about love, family, identity, isolation, deceit, and trust. They transport you into an intense world of adventure and danger. The movies destroy this point of view. Not only are the Percy Jackson movies a disgrace to its fandom because it completely changes the plot line and cuts three of the books out of the movie series, but it also thoroughly destroys the main trio’s relationship, therefore making the books better.
In the movies, many of the characters are cut out and the plot line is completely changed. For example
