My bag fell down and I was frowning and scolding him as he did not even apologize for his action and how ruder can he be. But only 2 seconds later I myself saw that he was rushing as a blind man was crossing the road while a vehicle was fast approaching him. I realized that I was too quick in judging others without looking from their perspective. We face such situations every day at work, college, home everywhere. On my first day to work, my fellow team mates had different perceptions just by looking at me. As I was wearing a salwar they thought I was from an orthodox family and just by my walk few had a perception that I had so much attitude and the list goes on and on. this phrase was introduced to me by my class teacher in 8th standard. I had Glossophobia- fear of public speaking during my schooling .at that time teachers are our great motivators in life. They can really mould you and at the same make you ready to fit into any mould. She inculcated the habit of reading and always motivated her students. She being a cancer survivor, her story really inspires me even till date. Inspiration on a person doesn’t come that easily. She identified that I lacked speaking skills and she would put me in all competitions. I never used to get even a consolidation prize. She later gave me Bharatiyar’s books to read. Subramani Bharatiyar is a social reformer and a famous poet and journalist. Every day I used to practice his poems and recite to her. She herself was glossophobic and inspired me with her on how she overcame it. She also advised me to motivate others who faced similar problems.
