Peptic Ulcers: A Brief Summary And Analysis

During my sophomore year of high school, I was faced with Peptic Ulcers that dramatically changed my actions as a student. I was always the one to chose to have the heaviest coursework, so there was a constant stress from the work. I enjoyed the work load and felt that the stress could be managed. It was a mistake to believe that. Shortly into my first semester I began to regurgitate anything that I had put into my mouth. The feeling was horrendous, so I ate very little throughout the day. I paid little attention to the symptoms until there was an unhealthy amount of weight loss. After several doctors appointments, my physician finally recommended us a gastroenterologist for further analysis. As days passed by, I was unable to attend school because of my condition which caused me to stress even more. Although it was obvious that my illness worsened with an increase of stress, I could not help but think about the length of the recovery process and how my grades and school involvement would be affected such as letting my DECA competition team down.
