Television shows play a huge part is children’s material culture. Growing up I can remember the countless times I was glued to spot in front of the television completely unaware of my surroundings, but engrossed in what I was watching on the screen. As time goes on i see a trend throughout every generation as new show are created the cycle continues. I see this with my sibling, nieces and nephews and even children I babysit. A new show I have recently become intrigued by is known as Peppa Pig. Peppa Pig is a British show about a pig named Peppa and her family, which consists of her, her little brother George, and her parents, whose names are Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig. There is one character on the show, Miss Rabbit, who does all of the jobs which includes the helicopter pilot, aquarium caretaker, gift shop assistant (at the aquarium), supermarket cashier, face painter, nurse, dental nurse, library assistant, bus driver, ice cream seller, theme park ticket seller, train driver, recycling centre operator and maybe even more. It is uncertain whether there is only one Miss Rabbit doing all these jobs, or is there a whole litter of Miss Rabbits, all making sure the town runs smoothly. In the episode Miss Rabbit's Day Off, Miss Rabbit breaks her ankle, and the whole town has to pitch in to take over her jobs. And in an episode from season four, Miss Rabbit is given The Queen's award for industry; for Miss Rabbit to have enough time off to actually collect her award, The Queen has to declare a national holiday. Both these episodes prove that one rabbit does many jobs. However, Miss Rabbit is not the only Rabbit on the show. She has a sister , 'stay at home mum' Mummy Rabbit, mother of Rebecca and Richard Rabbit. In the Miss Rabbit's Day Off episode, Rebecca is seen asking her mother why she never does any work like Miss Rabbit. Mummy Rabbit immediately becomes defensive, and answers with something along the lines of 'Well it isn't exactly a walk in the park looking after you, you
