Pentatonix: Pitch Pipe Paper

Improved Essays
The item that I plan to market is a customized pitch pipe for the band Pentatonix. A pitch pipe is a small device used to provide a pitch reference for musicians or singers. The common vocal pitch pipes are circular and made of metal, usually brass and are known as a free reed aerophone. This product is a great fit because Pentatonix is an a cappella group, so perfect pitch is the backbone of this group. This merchandise covers a serious note for those fans that love the band and can sing, and those that see it as a perfect collectors item. The pitch pipes would come in three different design wraps of the groups “PTX” logo, colors and exact design still in the making. As for the quantity, the initial order would be 3000 due to the manufacturer, …show more content…
Some are better quality than others and some are only 9 notes note 13. I narrowed it down to two, one of which I will go into later that I feel will be the best fit. The first is Wm. Kratt Co., better known to the public as “The Master Key- chromatic pitch instrument” that comes in the little red box. They are located in Kenilworth, New Jersey and currently manufacture the classic and beloved pitch pipe and nine other tuning devices. The have several distributors all but one of which is located in the U.S. the other is in Canada. Kratt Company still uses the original 1936 dies and hand presses to make several hundred thousand pitch pipes per year. These are made out of hand-tuned special bronze reeds and patented tone chambers. The outside is a polished aluminium that then would be covered in a full vinyl wrap with the band’s logo printed on it. Being that they don’t sell directly to the public and a small business I couldn’t find if they required a minimum order. I would however place an initial order of 5,000 units with the distributing company. Also cost per unit exact numbers were not available, but they do sell for around $15-$35 depending on the vender. I would then take these to another company to have the vinyl wraps put

The American Revolution was caused by much more than the simple concept of no taxation without representation; its roots can be found dozens of years prior, in 1763 and the years that followed, as well as back to the early history of colonial North America. Two authors and historians, Colin Calloway, who wrote The Scratch of a Pen: 1763 and the Transformation of North America, and Eric Foner, who authored Give Me Liberty! an American History, offer two comprehensive viewpoints into the origins of the American Revolution and a historical analysis of how the events and conflicts which took place during the time periods influenced the Revolution’s arrival. Colin Calloway’s The Scratch of a Pen begins in the year of 1763, with Calloway defining…
