Recently a debate has surfaced about whether or not the United States should continue to produce the penny. The penny has been around for a long time but it seems there is no use for it any longer. Although it is small it has cost the U.S. lots of money throughout its near 200 years of production. So the question here is should we really continue to produce a worthless coin? The Canadian government has recently decided to stop the production of the penny.
