Growing up in Pennsylvania, I always was aware of the reputation The Pennsylvania State University had for providing the best education. I have known Penn State graduates and I have seen the pride they have in being Penn State alumni. When I started my career at Lockheed Martin last year, I was not surprised to find there were Penn State alumni on my very team. When I decided that I was looking to pursue a master’s in Cybersecurity, I took the advice of my coworkers and looked into Penn State’s programs. I was not surprised at all to find that the Information Sciences –Cybersecurity and Information Assurance program is considered one of the best in the country. Not only is the program acknowledged as one of the finest, but Penn State World Campus is recognized as one of the leaders of distance education courses. During my research I was delighted that the coursework was all online. Working full-time, it was important to me to find a reputable institution with not only a great program but also one with a flexible curriculum.

Last May I received two Bachelors of Science degrees in Computer Science and Computer Security with a minor in Mathematics from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. From a technical perspective, my schooling has allowed me to obtain computer science skills such as exposure to various programing languages and software engineering best practices. Furthermore, the skills I acquired from my computer security discipline are directly related to this degree.
