Pennfoter Reflection

Hello, Pennfoster.

Seems that you need me to tell you a little about myself and my studying. Well first off, I’m pretty smart and I know that may seem big headed of me but, at least I think I am. One of the many reasons I complete the exams so fast I all of the information I need is in the study unit as you know there is a search button on the study unit so what I usually will do is open two tabs of the Pennfoster website and I use one to look at the questions and the other to search up the answers on the study unit all exams are open book correct? Another thing is I do have to retake the tests quite a bit, and some of the tests I retook I quickly realized where I goofed up in the first test. The search button on the study unit has been the

When I started Pennfoster, after my transfer credits were added I had a total of eleven credits that I needed to complete. Only eleven, that isn’t much considering I spend quite a bit of time on the website, have a general knowledge of the information and only do the exams. I admit to not doing the study units I didn’t know they were necessary because the program let me continue without completing them.
You asked me in the email, how much time I spend on Pennfoster daily. I honestly cant give you an exact time frame because its different daily some days I work on my Pennfoster exams from 8am to 10pm or so, I do take breaks in between but I spend most of the time doing that and usually the next day I wont be on if I do that because I like all students get tired of school. I do spend quite a bit of time on Pennfoster though, Im positive the amount of time I spend on Pennfoster is exactly enough to complete the exams I have completed. The hardest exam was Writing Skills Part 1 I scored a 55 on it the first time I took it it was pretty difficult to me because English is by far my worst subject. The easiest exam was probably, Evolution And The Diversity Of Life Part 1 exam I scored a 100 on it the first time I took it the reason this was the easiest exam was because Biology is one of my favorite subjects and my dad wanted to major in it, I picked it up as an interest as a young child. Unfortunately, neither of my parents completed collage I will be the first of their children to do

Pilsen Excursion Reflection Like any other community in Chicago, Pilsen has it's own identity. Both locations are incomparable as each one has something to offer to the mélange of identities that comprise what we know as Chicago. The assortment of museums, college hangout locations, as well as a few park districts present in Lincoln Park create a combination of urban comfort with a touch of natural beauty. Pilsen's initial impression reveals a neighborhood filled with color, not necessarily from park districts, but from the murals on display around every corner.…

Selecting the information used for the presentation I did in front of the PET 388 class was given to us. I was given the topic and had to come up with a PowerPoint to explain tobacco. I used the book because it outlined many important concepts when talking about smoking and smokeless tobacco. I also chose to go by the book because it shared very important information that should be learned as future educators. I also incorporated this into my presentation to the class because since we are all future educators, I though some of the concepts were interesting to know.…

TMA 07: Critical Review AA100 The Arts Past and Present was my first module with the Open University which has been a massive learning curve both in studying and being disciplined with my time to study. Over the months of studying there have been modules which I assumed I would thoroughly enjoy and modules which I assumed I would dislike, however this thinking has turned out to be the complete opposite. Use of my study time is something that I have found challenging at times as the modules have progressed and increased in difficulty. I have also found that you need to be especially self-motived and disciplined when completing each module.…

University life exposed me to a very externalised culture. As Thomas Moore, author of Care of the Soul said, ”We are constantly pulled outside ourselves—by other people, by the media, and by the demands of daily life. As a consequence, we tend to devote very little time to ourselves.”…

A strong teacher/paraprofessional team is critical to student success. When a teacher and an aide are working together to plan lessons, deliver instruction and evaluate student progress, everyone benefits. Effective communication is the main priority. Teams need training in problem solving and communication skills and must put the strategies they’ve learned into place. Working as a paraprofessional in the Flat Rock, Allen Park and River Rouge school districts is my favorite job to date.…

As a person who is going to be a first generation college student, my journey towards obtaining a higher education has been challenging to say the least. Neither my father or mother finished high school, but when I was very young, my mother, who struggled with alcoholism, left my father and I, and he has raised me by himself ever since. Over the course of my childhood, my father did everything in his power to make ends meet through working long hours and multiple jobs so that I could have the opportunities that he never had. Because of this, at an early age I learned to do without certain things and when I was old enough, I got a job of my own to help provide for myself and my father. As a result of these things, sometimes it was difficult to do well in school and other activities, but I always found a way to succeed through diligence and time management skills.…

This week in clinical, me and another nursing student were assigned to go and visit the PACU. All patients are admitted to the PACU, Post-anesthesia care unit, following surgery. We visited the PACU in the first week of clinical, so I was familiar with the environment. When I first walked into the PACU it was empty, but the nurse told me just give it a few minutes it is going to get busy. I was assigned to be with a nurse for the day and observe how she takes care of patients after surgery is completed.…
