I have always struggled with completing the bottom half of the funnel, I am good at starting a paper and adding all the details but when it comes to the nitty gritty details (the bottom of the funnel) of the paper I always seem to fall a little short. Throughout the first two thirds of this semester I have continually done mainly ok on my papers I want to learn how to make my papers go from that “ok” area to the excellent area before i turn them in. I have already started this, with my last paper I made one category of the “excellent” section. This was a huge step for me and I will continue to improve just like I did with that paper by using paperrater and having my peers review my paper. I will improve on this by using my resources more and

I had the great pleasure of visiting Richmond City School Board meeting which was held at School Board Room, 17th Floor City Hall on December 7,2015 . The purpose of this body of work was to address medication errors and safe medication administration practices in relation to practicing nurses and nursing students via several different approaches. These different approaches will be presented as three separate papers but interrelated themes. The specific purpose for each paper and the corresponding research questions were addressed individually in each chapter. The approach used in the first paper was a systematic literature search of medication administration errors and the pediatric population; five themes emerged including the incidence rate of medication administration errors, specific medications involved in medication administration errors and classification of the errors, why medication…

The debate on the importance of Liberal Arts is dear to my heart because of the impact my high school Humanities class had on me. Because of this, I had no difficulty forming an opinion in the debate and seeing the flaws in arguments against Liberal Arts. However, analyzing the flaws in an argument I agree with was harder than expected, but with the use of rhetorical analysis I was able to see the strong and weak points in the article. This allowed me to create a strong response that portrays my opinion in relation to the article’s arguments. Peer review was helpful because the process brought to light multiple grammar issues.…

Peer response 2 Hi Dakoda, you stated that human service workers must be informed so they can also be protected by the laws that they are governed by. Excellent point and so true following policy and procedure is definitely going to protect you over time. In my job field we have this same due process rights if a client isn’t happy with a determination made on their case. It’s their right to request a hearing to contest the determination. “Due process is one of the rights we let our clients know they have” and it’s also listed on their denial/approval letter so if they want to request a hearing that will explain to them how to start the process (Mandlel & Schram, pg. 529).…

I recently attended a group observation at Project Point of Light in Shippenville, Pennsylvania. The overall experience was a positive one. It was very interesting to talk to the members and hear their sides of the story. They truly are just human beings and I believe that meeting with them and having an opportunity to talk to them has somewhat changed my view of sex offenders overall. Though I am still confused by their behaviors, which is somewhat difficult to overcome, but I am more understanding of who they are because they are only human and they know they have made a mistake.…

I understand that it will be a six paragraph essay; the first is an introduction and thesis. I notice that in the first paragraph of the argument essay example, there are questions; should that be done in a persuasive essay as well? I also noticed that in the Down and Dirty Essay Tips: Persuasion , the first body paragraph is pointed towards the oppositions point, and then the writer's refutal; however, I am wondering, should we open with the question that we made for the Part II of our persuasion peer review, for the first sentence of the…

While the video was only appeared once, I found that peer revision time of three to four people was very helpful when I needed to be refreshed of what interpretation meant. The revision groups helped me with my essay and where I could I improve, all while forcing me to ask questions when I am confused. In a way, I was glad because I was more comfortable to speak up about criticisms through them due to the fact that most of them were the same age as me. They had taken chances to explain interpretation through my essay so I would see it better and where I could apply such information to improve for my next revision. Then, when it was my turn to read their papers, I was able to see how they approached their claims through evidence and where they…

The relationship I have with my journal partner is always growing and evolving. A solid relationship take trust, support, caring and equality. I believe all the “friendship rules” are apparent in my relationship because my journal partner (wife) is my best friend. The discussion that was sparked by this assignment has made me aware the most significant rule to our relationship for my wife is equity. This was not a rule I felt was that significant, however she has explained in a relationship it is extremely important for both partners to feel they are getting as much as they are giving.…

It is always important to be a team player. You should look out for yourself but I believe it is our moral duty to help others as well. This is why I find peer editing absolutely essential and have also helped other peers informally with their papers. This was the first draft of my partners first paper. We were given a set of questions and tasks to help assist us in our peer review.…

For the peer reflection project, I interviewed Alexis Dowdell about the time her family adopted her cousin, Rochell. I thought this process was very interesting. Interviewing someone I never spoke to before was new. Even though this was a different experience, I was not nervous or overthinking about the right approach. I felt the right approach to interview Alexis was to be myself.…

Overall, I rate this article as a 4 out of 5. It is very well organized, presents samples and comparisons and is very well written. The only thing, I would change in this article would be the organization of the topics. For Example, The hypotheses, methods and procedures were placed at the end with the results. I believe the hypotheses, methods, and procedures would have been more effective placed at the beginning of the article before the presentation of the data that is broken up into sections.…

First I would like to begin my Peer Review with saying that you are doing well developing your ideas and showing how much you care about the environment. I appreciate that you don’t have unrealistic goals to try and achieve. Everything you talk about is very positive and I like the fact you don’t think about doing things not just by yourself but helping include others to make the cause known and the outcome greater. The fact you talk of not only you gaining more education on this matter but teaching others is also pretty awesome. I like that you think realistically, you say: “We cannot bring back the dead and we cannot make a change in a day.”…

The evidence I have for the collegiate/peer feedback is the comment I received from the mentor teacher on my self-evaluation form, the self-evaluation form for the self-assessment/reflection, and 3 students surveys from each of the three classes that I taught for the student feedback (see Appendix 1). Area of strength An area of strength for my teaching practice would be the different teaching methods and multiple forms of literacy that I’ve included in the lessons, as I have been trying to do a different activity for each lessons, or includes visual, music, and videos in the lessons to give students different approaches to the contents. My mentor teacher commented the different tasks as “interesting and useful” for the students. The students…
