The tutors are less stressed and the students are far happier as they all know exactly what to expect each session. Not only, did this solve the disorganization problem within the club, but it has also taught the tutors proper organizational skills and

ELAD543 M1 Video Discussion The Seinfeld clip is hysterical, yet it provides valuable points to note regarding delivering a lesson. As students entered the room he did not greet them in a positive manner and when class began his first sentence, “I’ve graded your tests and I have to say I’m a little more than disappointed,” was discouraging. No objective, essential question or anticipatory set was used to engage students into the lesson. When he questioned students and they offered incorrect responses, he did not shut them down; rather, he restated or rephrased the question, which is a good strategy to use.…

Modeling promotes learning and motivation and makes it easier to follow the steps that were demonstrated. Another instructional strategy that will also help with social interaction is group work. Less teacher-led and more small group activities allow students to practice language with their peers in a more personal manner. Students can learn a lot from their peers and may be more comfortable in a small group setting.
