Peer Revision Group Reflection

While the video was only appeared once, I found that peer revision time of three to four people was very helpful when I needed to be refreshed of what interpretation meant. The revision groups helped me with my essay and where I could I improve, all while forcing me to ask questions when I am confused. In a way, I was glad because I was more comfortable to speak up about criticisms through them due to the fact that most of them were the same age as me. They had taken chances to explain interpretation through my essay so I would see it better and where I could apply such information to improve for my next revision. Then, when it was my turn to read their papers, I was able to see how they approached their claims through evidence and where they

Hi Professor, For the Group-Led Discussion I did the introduction. I emailed the whole group on March 5 before spring break so we could get started on the assignment because spring break was coming up. Right away I got an email from Giselle she helped to explain what needed to be done for the assignment. The following day I got an email back from Paige saying she would like to answer question 3.…

I found watching the video to be very interesting and fascinating. It was so weird watching myself listen to others. I noticed that a lot of the time I was not completely focused on the conversation when I was not the one talking. It was very easy to tell I would get distracted and my mind was wandering. I think that I could work on my emotional support response strategy.…

I recently attended a group observation at Project Point of Light in Shippenville, Pennsylvania. The overall experience was a positive one. It was very interesting to talk to the members and hear their sides of the story. They truly are just human beings and I believe that meeting with them and having an opportunity to talk to them has somewhat changed my view of sex offenders overall. Though I am still confused by their behaviors, which is somewhat difficult to overcome, but I am more understanding of who they are because they are only human and they know they have made a mistake.…

Collaboration is the process of working together with others to improve a piece of writing. It is a process in which others revise one’s original work and give the author advise on how to edit their piece of writing. Different perspectives are shared and taken into consideration, thus allowing the author to get a fresh pair of eyes on their writing other than their own. It is a very important step when completing a paper because it helps us be able to see the improvements needed to be made that we might not have noticed. Project 1:…

Our work could have been more productive and we should have had used our time wisely and then we could have gotten a better peer review. Also we could have thought our ideas on a piece of paper and maybe we could have done better and improve on the structure because the building looked nothing like the real willis tower and more details could improved our grade .My perspective also changed because looking at our paper where we wrote down our scale and original measurements me and my partner should have chosen somewhere we could have focused more in an more better area . In addition me an my partner could have double checked the math and not have forgotten to put the unit so it could be more clear and the people who look at it and can understand…

    Peer Response Reflection

My previous experiences with peer response have not been as beneficial to me as teachers and myself would hope. In my English 111 class, my professor required the class to do peer responses in class where we had to read your partners paper aloud to him or her and then discuss what you liked/did not like about their paper. This made me very uncomfortable and gave me very little time to give a justified response to someone else's paper, so most of the time I just told my partner that their paper was well written. For the peer responses we did last week in class I found them to be much more beneficial in the sense that we were able to read another students draft "alone" and actually form an opinion and then fill out the peer response form alone.…

For the peer reflection project, I interviewed Alexis Dowdell about the time her family adopted her cousin, Rochell. I thought this process was very interesting. Interviewing someone I never spoke to before was new. Even though this was a different experience, I was not nervous or overthinking about the right approach. I felt the right approach to interview Alexis was to be myself.…

My experience with peer editing has overall been a positive experience for a couple reasons, the first being the ideas another person brings to your writing. My peers have always been supportive and helpful with my papers when it comes to my ideas not being totally organized. Getting another opinion has always been something that I have found helpful when I am writing, especially when my paper has not been completely finished. Although, when my paper is finished and I go through peer editing I get a little nervous. I get nervous because I have put so much work into this one paper and the thought of a peer saying something negative about my paper makes me anxious.…

    1) A teaching strategy that I saw this week was an interesting video analysis strategy. This strategy consisted of the following aspects. First, the learners were given a video to analyze. While the learners were analyzing the video, they were supposed to be paying attention. After every five or six minutes, the instructor would stop the video and ask a guided question to keep the students on task.…

In every group, structured or not, the group process has many effects on the overall group. This paper will look at the group processes of our cohort, the interactions between subgroups, and the way that it has affected the overall distance learning cohort. It will look at themes which have played out during our most recent trip to campus, namely subgroups formed, as well as the difference in anxiety levels between the foundation and concentration groups and the behaviors that were demonstrated. Next it will identify and discuss instances of here-and-now moments within the groups and consider the process commentary that we saw emerge and reflect on possible meanings for it. Finally it will depict how the groups illustrated the concepts of…

The evidence I have for the collegiate/peer feedback is the comment I received from the mentor teacher on my self-evaluation form, the self-evaluation form for the self-assessment/reflection, and 3 students surveys from each of the three classes that I taught for the student feedback (see Appendix 1). Area of strength An area of strength for my teaching practice would be the different teaching methods and multiple forms of literacy that I’ve included in the lessons, as I have been trying to do a different activity for each lessons, or includes visual, music, and videos in the lessons to give students different approaches to the contents. My mentor teacher commented the different tasks as “interesting and useful” for the students. The students…

Individual Reflection Paper As humans, it is within our inborn nature to interact and cooperate with others. This is due to the fact that no one individual is perfect and capable in all ways. We are able to complement each other’s inadequacy through working as a group, hence this is why collective efforts often made things easier as compared to individual effort. While working in groups, we will experience changes in group dynamics and processes.…

We have 5 members in our group of whom 2 were male, and 3 were female. After we were assigned the project, we all came together, and made a commitment to do it better, and succeed at it. Firstly, we welcomed ideas from everyone, without setting any criteria. Our project was to reinvent any product with more features that will be helpful for public. It was a very challenging project because we were to redesign a particular product, which should be more appealing to the costumers in terms of features, solution of particular problems, availability, and cost.…
