Peer Reviewed Applied research completed by professional researchers are submitted to be peer-reviewed and published in peer-reviewed journals. Peer-reviewing is a strict process in which peers of the professional researchers with relevant expertise examine and review the content, methods used, and data from the research. After examination and review of the research, it can be returned to the editorial board with a decision to accept and publish the research which could include with revisions made first, sent back to the researcher for revisions, or rejected and not published. According to Klingner, Scanlon, & Pressley (2005), most times articles are not accepted the first time around without some revisions having to be made by the authors.
