Our work could have been more productive and we should have had used our time wisely and then we could have gotten a better peer review. Also we could have thought our ideas on a piece of paper and maybe we could have done better and improve on the structure because the building looked nothing like the real willis tower and more details could improved our grade .My perspective also changed because looking at our paper where we wrote down our scale and original measurements me and my partner should have chosen somewhere we could have focused more in an more better area . In addition me an my partner could have double checked the math and not have forgotten to put the unit so it could be more clear and the people who look at it and can understand

In "The Maker's Eye: Reviewing your own Manuscript" by Donald M. Murray, managed to capture what happens in any review process. He emphasizes the importance of rereading and then rewriting his work until it is at its peak; Above all, Murray says that the first draft is nothing more than a sketch. I think the purpose of this essay is to inform both students and professional writers about the importance of personal review because no one is more critical than the creator. This ongoing process can be used by writers of all ages and it is critical that aspiring writers understand how long a particular job can last to complete.…

The debate on the importance of Liberal Arts is dear to my heart because of the impact my high school Humanities class had on me. Because of this, I had no difficulty forming an opinion in the debate and seeing the flaws in arguments against Liberal Arts. However, analyzing the flaws in an argument I agree with was harder than expected, but with the use of rhetorical analysis I was able to see the strong and weak points in the article. This allowed me to create a strong response that portrays my opinion in relation to the article’s arguments. Peer review was helpful because the process brought to light multiple grammar issues.…

I am glad you brought up that faculty needs to be “competent” in Evidence Based Practice (EBP). I had the opportunity to work for a college as a Clinical Adjunct Instructor (CAI). In doing so, CAI were required to monitor, teach, and be available for questions in the clinical lab prior to going to sites. I had a hard time adjusting to the skills check off list due to some of the skills were not up to date such as Foley catheter insertions. When I brought this to their attention including providing EBP literature.…

My writing has improved as a result of this course. I now know the difference between writing an essay and writing a journal. I learned that in a journal, just getting to the point is best. When it comes to writing a journal, quality is more important than quantity. My APA skills have also improved as a result of this course.…

First off Mrs. Theisen had assigned this project about transcendentalism. I cannot even remember what transcendentalism means still. The project was crazy though we had to write papers and do a PowerPoint on it, present what we thought transcendentalism was in our own ways and what we liked about it. Well I got done with the project and my papers got graded as an average of a (C) . When I presented the project I thought it was going to be great but then when I presented it… well it was something else.…

It is always important to be a team player. You should look out for yourself but I believe it is our moral duty to help others as well. This is why I find peer editing absolutely essential and have also helped other peers informally with their papers. This was the first draft of my partners first paper. We were given a set of questions and tasks to help assist us in our peer review.…

For the peer reflection project, I interviewed Alexis Dowdell about the time her family adopted her cousin, Rochell. I thought this process was very interesting. Interviewing someone I never spoke to before was new. Even though this was a different experience, I was not nervous or overthinking about the right approach. I felt the right approach to interview Alexis was to be myself.…

I do not have direct experiences enforcing rules pertaining to living standards and community norms, and I have limited experience directly addressing disruptive behavior. However, I am certain that based on the experiences that I have had and my qualities as a leader and a problem-solver will help me meet the demands of the job. For example, during all four years of my high school I served as a Peer Mediator to address fights and disputes between two students. During the lunch hour, my partner and I would go to the Head of Security’s office to help the students who had been detained by the securities. My partner and I would help these students come to an agreeable resolution that if they both accepted would allow them to avoid school disciplinary…

Teamwork and collaboration, good communication, and confidence are the three strengths I believe I demonstrated during this rotation. My clinical rotation as a student nurse did not only imply observing the providers, but also meant active participation on my part. Being engaged, enabled me to put into practice what I have learned in theory. The first day of my rotation, the nurse permitted me to augment the Pitocin dose by two units after 20 minutes. I thought that was exciting because I learned about the medication in the class and participated in administering it.…

Reflection Paper Evaluating Bad Science Evaluating research and determining good research from bad research is not as simple as one might presume the process to be. There are many factors to delve into in disseminating the data and its supposed findings. As simplistic as it sounds when one compares the old adage of "you can 't judge a book by its cover", well the same could be true of a supposed landmark medical discovery. Research is and should be timely, covering a broad spectrum of samples, and even diverse geographical and environmental considerations must be made. I oftentimes will hear of a new medicine or recommended medicine and see the list of possible side effects and wonder what exactly is the lesser of the evils; the affliction being treated or…

Althought I felt that I did a good job supporting complex ideas, I know I could 've added more support to make my paper even stronger. I also should 've abused my resources better than I did. What would you have done differently? Use of time, building techniques? If I would have done something differently, I will not choose X as inner support force, I’ll rather choose triangle as inner support, because it saved our sticks and glue, also can make the tower lighter. The time doesn't matter, I think we just have to finish with build the tower in the amount time that teacher given, then it should be fine. The scientific method is a procedure that is used by scientists now and in the past, dating back to the seventeenth century. The scientific method consists of observation, measurement, and experiment, and the creation and testing of hypotheses. There are several steps and different components to the scientific method that will (hopefully) answer the scientists’ questions, by the completion of the experiment. There are countless different reasons as to why a scientist would use the scientific method, but one area of research that is focused on is, biology. Biologists seek to find the answers to further and better understand the processes that occur in living systems.…
