• Kimberly Stathis- the telephone: This is an idea that changed the way we communicate and conduct business with others. The telephone made it possible to be able to communicate with others nearby or far at a faster rate. Instead, of having to wait weeks or maybe months to hear from someone, now people were able to communicate with another person in a matter of minutes. It made it easier to conduct business as well as this faster rate. This became an all propose tool that can be utilize in homes,

• Ethan Tausek stated about social media- "Social media took the punishment of those people way too far. Not for nothing but most of those things were pretty harmless. The Boston marathon costume was definitely in poor taste but not everyone's a genius. Regardless of how what these people did was taken on social media, There is no need to go as far as to make these people lose their jobs, that's just sick and ridiculous to do that to someone who made a mistake. nobody lost their jobs because of those pictures". I personally believe that when you post something on social media it lasts a lifetime and your actions can have some serious repercussions. In life, there are consequences for everything that you do. Now a days, depending on the type of employment someone has they have the right to fire a person over things like this or denied you employment. Just because something can be posted on social media for everyone to view doesn't mean it’s the right thing to do. Some of these images were very disrespectful and in very poor taste. When people received a harsh punishment for their actions, they are less likely to repeat their actions

• Lachonne Reese's idea- "The idea I think is most unimportant would be the snowball crossbow launcher. It seems it would make being surrounded by ice more tolerable but the need for it is not evident. I think the human race could evolve without a cooler way to throw snowballs". My idea- I find the idea of a LED drivemocion led sign very unimportant. Nobody wants to see another drivers current emotion shown on a car window. I also find it a bit distracting if you're driving.
I feel that both of these ideas are pointless and useless. The idea of a snowball crossbow launcher really has no purpose. As a child you look forward to building your own snow balls and throwing them without the use of a launcher. This idea causes more problems because kids will use this tool for other things and damage others property.
The LED drivemocion is also an unimportant idea. Other drivers don't need to know what your current mood is. I find it causes a distraction among other

Public or private? Most individuals are asked this question before posting a status update or photo on social media networks. The small question may seem monotonous or insignificant, but with 52% of employers using social media in employment screening processes, individuals should consider being more careful about what they choose to post (Reinsch, et. al. 154). This controversial topic has been in place with the conjunction of current social media networks and Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act that acknowledges discrimination of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.…

    Peer Response Reflection

My previous experiences with peer response have not been as beneficial to me as teachers and myself would hope. In my English 111 class, my professor required the class to do peer responses in class where we had to read your partners paper aloud to him or her and then discuss what you liked/did not like about their paper. This made me very uncomfortable and gave me very little time to give a justified response to someone else's paper, so most of the time I just told my partner that their paper was well written. For the peer responses we did last week in class I found them to be much more beneficial in the sense that we were able to read another students draft "alone" and actually form an opinion and then fill out the peer response form alone.…

As far as peer response is concerned, I have absolutely no experience having it done by anyone other than my wife. I have never read another person’s writing and given my critique or suggestions of how it should be written. As I watched A Peer Response Demonstration (2010) video, I found it very informative. I could see myself like the first person in the video. Like her, I wouldn’t want to be too critical because I would feel bad hurting someone’s feelings.…

"DST", or Daylight Savings Time, is a tradition where every spring people set their clocks forward 1 hour, and in the fall people set their clocks back one year. There are several benefits to "DTS" as well as negative effects. It's in my belief that "DTS" is more helpful than not. Having that 1 extra hour of daytime can be very helpful to people that work outside like carpenters, and farmers. To begin with, one could argue that a 2007 study in California indicated that "DST" had little or no effect on energy consumption that year.…
