Growing up, I struggled with school. I wasn’t fortunate enough to have a family that could help with my studies. My struggles with school, eventually lead me to ,Juntos, a peer mentoring program.The program provides kids with help they can’t otherwise receive at home. It gave me the assistance and confidence I needed to succeed in school. In fact, I grew to love the program so much I decided to become a mentor myself. If there’s anything volunteering at the program has taught me it's that if given a chance anyone can learn. My interactions with the kids shows me that all they need is encouragement. A child blossoms when reassured and told the can succeed. The belief that they can is enough to allow to accomplish the impossible. I can relate
