Peer Interaction In Health And Social Care

The new way of learning has been impacted by the generation of technology that has changed in healthcare. Online learning has transformed people’s lives with giving opportunity of time management with school, kids etc. The online learning environment is approachable way for higher education. But, there have been barriers to success in online learning environment such as peer interaction and limitation on using technology.
Peer interaction is used from the time one wakes up to the time they go to sleep. Peer interaction is used in healthcare to promote patient safety and a learning experience. With a online learning environment there can be a hinder in peer interaction. According to Skordis-Worrall, J., Batura, N., Haghparast-Bidgoli, H., & Hughes, J. (2015), “The lack of interaction and sense of community coupled with feelings of isolation were perceived as the main challenges of online learning environment” (p. 420). The online environment does not give a person the face-to-face interaction. This lack of interactions can be a problem when there is a situation at work and that person does not know how to deal with the situation face to face.
