Today I completed all of my readings for chapters 4, 5, 6, and 7. Not only did I read but I also took notes on each of the chapters. These four chapters were quite interesting and new to me. I learned many new things from these readings that I hadn't known before. Some new things that I learned were the four types of creativity, four types of communications, and three diversification strategies.

Truett Cathy is an gifted businessman, author, Presidential Volunteer Service Award winner, and philanthropist; he also embodies the very meaning of exceeding guest expectations. Samuel Truett Cathy grew up poor in Eatonton, Georgia, a city that at the time of his birth, had…

The writing expected from college courses is one that most are unfamiliar with. Although students learn basic English skills throughout grade school and up to high school, most of the advanced steps are forgotten by the time the student is to enter college. Paired with this, are the nontraditional students, who haven’t studied advanced academic language for long periods of time. Professors are expecting students of all kinds of study to have a high academic vocabulary and high writing skill. Often times a gap in remedial writing courses within the first semester or so.…

    1) Honestly, I believe that my writing in this class reveals that I am not a great writer and I am not fluent in English, at all. Even though I have passed the California English (or ESL) standard test for English learner or students that have English as a second language, however, I am still not very proficient in the language. For example, I have a difficult time pronouncing the plurals when I read something out loud and I still continue to make simple grammar mistakes in my writing. Furthermore, my recent writing assignments have been improved, thanks to Paper Rater. Additionally, I am very surprised and proud at the same time to think that I can keep up with the high honor expectations in an honor English class.…

Dear Mrs. Audra Rouse and Delgado students, I attended my first ever collegiate class at Delgado Community College this semester. I feel Exuberant knowing I can excel and comprehend on a college level. Over the course of the year I have learned many new styles, tips and guidelines to writing. For my portfolio I mainly focused on revision using “combatting absenteeism “and “Olympic water sport” because those essays had a substantial amount of room for improvement. I will be using the “student profile” because it proves my mastery of writing profile essays.…

We are writing you to submit an academic grievance, regarding REL110R with Dr. Richard Wilson, and we hope to find a resolution. Primarily, Dr. Wilson’s expectations for submitted assignments were unclear. Because our submitted assignments were not returned to us with clear feedback and we only attended the fourth hour on less than a handful of occasions, we were unable to understand what he was looking for in our writing. Dr. Wilson, while promising for most of the semester to give feedback in a timely manner, to improve for the next assignment, almost never provided insight for improvement.…

You have probably heard of PlayStation and Xbox, if you have then you have also heard of the major disputes over which is better. I have gathered Intel on each candidate to determine which stands out of the two. Both have had major hits in the business, but they are not equal. This paper focuses on the consoles throughout the generations. There are many things that make up a good console; games, marketability, performance, graphics, storage, player friendly, etc.…

Upon my entry into English 1010-02, my first college writing class, I expected to breeze through the course with an easy-A and minimal effort after my successful completion of AP English 11 this past year. I began the year with the utmost confidence in my writing abilities, and believed that my skills were above par. It wasn’t until I received my score on the essay evaluation for my First-Week Essay- a measly five out of twenty- that I realized that this was not the case. At first, I was astonished that my seemingly exceptional writing skills had not earned me the A that I believed I deserved. However, as time went on I came to the realization that I had not put in nearly enough time or effort into the paper to receive more than a C at most.…

Throughout the course of the semester, my ability as a writer has increased at a slight level. The semester began on a rough patch with my initial submission of assignment one, but that was quickly resolved in my revisions. Since that point, my grades have been relatively similar. I would accredit this improvement to the feedback I received on the first assignment, although some of my faults could be seen in the next assignment as well. Since that point, however, my writing has been relatively consistent.…

Starbucks has one simple mission, which is “To inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time.” It is this mission statement which has contributed to the development of the brand over the past four decades, as it is found in Starbucks more than just a coffee shop. It is not just an “escape” for anyone who needs a break from their day-to-day work but also becomes a place for friends to hang out and even a venue for businessman to meet. This English class has been very helpful in my efforts to improve my writing abilities, but has also been very challenging due to there being a different median for every essay. It’s been a heavy work load especially this semester since I decided to enroll in five classes, but in the end it has been very beneficial indeed. I can’t say that writing essays has been one of my strong points but I believe that this course has helped me improve tremendously and it has also made me feel a lot more comfortable with my writing. While in high school I would usually write all of my essays a day before the due date a habit of mine that was very difficult to overcome, but now I have learned from my mistakes.…
