In my neighborhood, there had been a convicted child molester living right across the street from me. One day when my brother and I were outside, we noticed a garage sale across the street at the old man’s house. Without giving it a second thought, we walked over and bought some of the products he was selling. The next day we had the police knock on our door asking if we had seen the man from across the street, he proceeds to tell us that the man had been convicted of child molestation, and now he had been put out on parole. The man had sexually molested 5 other children since being let out the first time, breaking his parole regulations.
