This paper will discuss pediatricians; what they deal with, their social interaction, and how to choose the right one. ( Pediatricians are doctors who work with babies, children, and young adults (Wilson). To be a pediatrician you have to have a high school diploma (Ohio Career Information System).You also have to complete four years of college and graduate medical school (Wilson). After you complete college and graduate medical school, you receive a bachelor’s degree (OCIS). You must also have general knowledge (Wilson). First, you want to see at least three doctors. Compare the three doctors with an interview so you know which one doctor is the best fit for you and your family. Ask other parents, your friends, and neighbors for advice to help you find the best doctor. Once you have made your decision, let the office know that you have made your decision. Find a doctor that accepts your insurance, and is accepting new patients. Make sure that you find a doctor that meets your family's needs. Schedule your child's next well- child appointment. Do not forget that you can also make a change. If you have a problem with your doctor, you can always choose a different one. You and your child should be happy with your choice. Families view pediatricians as their expert resource. Some questions to ask yourself about your child and your pediatrician is: How does your child respond to this doctor? Does your child dread/seem to fear the doctor? And does the doctor take time during the visits, or do you feel rushed at your appointment with the doctor? Was the staff friendly and helpful?
