The National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) health policy agenda for 2017, Goal 1 discussed the enhancement of child and adolescent health by encouraging support on numerous health issues pertaining to this population. For the promotion of health, they encouraged breastfeeding, proper nutrition, and importance of physical activity to prevent childhood obesity. Prevention of injury and harm on leading causes of childhood illness, injury, and death are also of utmost importance.
