I believe that I should be awarded this scholarship because I would like to pursue a career as a pediatric surgeon or be in the emergency room as a trauma surgeon. The reasoning for this is that about a year ago, my mom had a heart attack. Her doctor informed my family that it was just about a 100% blockage in her heart and I remember how it felt when I had heard that; my heart shattered and I thought about how my entire life was going to change. After that, everything within the medical field sparked an interest in me.
