1. What are the goals of school health? The overall goal of school health is to assist students as much as they can to succeed during their journey of learning. If the students are healthy they are able to attend class and if they can attend class then they continue their education.
2. What are the health services available to individuals/groups? This school offers a referral for free shots for students that are in need, therefore, his helps promote a healthy school environment. This school also gives referrals for free eye exam and glasses. They also have resources where they can send families in need to get free food boxes. Lastly, the school also has free breakfast and lunch programs for families in need.

Identify health promotion activities the school nurse performs or provides. The nurse utilizes health screening including hearing screens and vision screens. She also promotes healthy lifestyle behaviors as well as activities. The nurse also supports the healthy food programs that encourage healthy eating patterns.
5. Describe the health screening and follow-up practices in the school health program. The students are screened every school year. If anything needs to be done the nurse will send a letter home to the parents to have the child checked out by their physician.
6. Discuss the educational preparation of the School Nurse. During my visit I asked my Nurse what she had to accomplish in order to become a school RN. She said that on top of having her state license she had to complete a hearing and vision-screening course. As a school nurse you have to pass the exam after the course in order evaluate children at the school.
7. List the various accrediting associations for School Nurses. My school nurse did belong to any associations for school nurses. There are associations though which include the National Association of School Nurses and National Association of State Boards of
