Personal Statement

This association grew further day by day during my medical school days but I made the final decision to pursue pediatrics in 2005 when I was posted in pediatric emergency clinical

According to the Committee on Pediatric Workforce (2013), “When the supply of pediatric care physicians in a community is inadequate, children will not have access to a pediatric medical home and may receive care in alternative settings, such as emergency departments and retail-based clinics, where the focus is on acute and episodic treatment rather than health supervision and preventative services.” Ultimately, the parents will then have the responsibility to make the decisions to travel for individual care for their child and for some, this can cause undue hardships. Due to the increasing number of children with chronic or acute diseases, pediatricians are a great need in the medical arena.…

My Interest in the medical field all began when I was a young girl, growing up I always was fascinated by science and the human anatomy, and how each complex system made this one being. In school, I struggled with subjects such as reading and writing, but when it came to math and science it became a second language, figured it was mostly because of my curiosity and for passion learning, but what influenced me the most as a child was my mother. My mother is a Social Worker and she has to help and support people on daily bases and by watching her example giving to people out of the kindness of her heart back into the community, made me want to do the same and growing up in Christian home I was told that “God gives us gifts and talents so we can help and support his people,” and so I thought what better way to serve people then becoming a doctor; with these skills and…
