Initially, pediatric patient experience was intimidating, stressful and haunted by the grievous of failure until the statement of “there is no way anyone can to fail day”. That statement alone allowed me to relax and focus on truly immersing myself in the experience without fear of detrimental judgment. In retrospect, each pediatric experience ascertained on this particular date provided invaluable insight into my capabilities and deficiencies as a nursing student. I was able to establish a rapport with both clients and elicit their participation and cooperation in developmental tasks.
