Pediatric Nutrition Personal Statement

While I am interested in both concentrations, the pediatrics route combines my passion for nutrition and love for children. Having grown up in a large family, I have developed a strong connection with children and place a high value on family care. Working with kids has proven to be challenging, yet rewarding. I hope to encourage families to promote a healthy lifestyle and prevent childhood obesity through nutrition intervention and education. However, my overall goal is to study preventive nutrition across the lifespan so both concentrations would be fulfilling.
