When a child is hospitalized, it is often a stressful situation not only for the child, but for their family members and friends as well. In order to create a less stressful environment, nurses must implement proper quality and care to prevent any further potential risk that may harm or prolong the patients time in the hospital. In order to achieve this goal pediatric nurses should increase the amount of effective communication and teachings with the child and parents, as well as communication with other colleagues and healthcare providers (Christian, 2017).
