I have known Tamer since he was an undergraduate dental student at Cairo University. He is currently a 2nd year resident in the pediatric dentistry department. Our students go through 2 years of extensive clinical training in general dentistry before they are eligible to apply for our specialty residency/masters programs. We usually get around 200-300 applicants for pediatric dentistry residency positions and from those, the best 10 are selected each year. Our pediatric residents are extremely competent clinically. Each resident is expected to treat about 5-7 patients everyday providing the necessary dental care, including behavior management, diagnosis, treatment planning, restoration of the primary and young permanent dentitions and management
