A rumor that has been going around indicates there may be a chance Pearl Prynne will be taken away from her mother. Hester should be able to keep her daughter. Hasn’t she been punished enough? She already has to walk around with an "A" on her chest, exposed to the world of the crime she has committed. If pearl was taken away, where would she go?
