On a sad day pearl harbor was attacked by the japanese. Pearl harbor was located in hawaii, december 7 1941. The japanese sent 33 ships and 350 planes and aircrafts. He sent the planes and aircraft north from oahu early in the morning. The mission was to sink 8 battleship that was among 180 vessels anchored at pearl harbor.
There was a ship named the Arizona and it was one of the 8 battleships. It was shot down by a 800 kilogram bomb. This completely destroyed the front of the ship causing it to sink. The bomb had ignited a fuel store, gunpowder, and ammunition supply. This exploded helping the bomb sink the ship. When the ship blew up and sunk it took 1,102 crew members lives out of 1,177 people. “The attack killed 2,403 people
