Civil disobedience is an everyday problem for a free society causing impacts. Peaceful resistance is a way to have disobedience without violence. Civil disobedience may have a major impact on society but with peaceful resistance, it can show the same impact. Without violence, things can still be seen and resolved. But whether the impact is positive or negative, it will still effect the people. Throughout history, peaceful resistance has shown and reminded the people of its positive effects that has come from them. Peaceful resistance for laws can have a tremendous impact to a free society by the reminders of their freedoms, showing social problems that are not seen, and to continue to shape the future.

Since the beginning of America there has been rebellion against laws. That rebellion change and alter the results of the future. Thomas Jefferson states two important thing. The first thing is "the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with blood of patriots and tyrants." The second statement he said was "the right of revolution was seen as a necessary defense of freedom." Even if this was near the beginning of a society, it still applies to this day. The rebellion helps keep a free society remain free. The last weekend of January 2017, there was a stand against refugees being turned away from entering America. There was not any violence, but there was peaceful resistance causing some arrests. This stand can make a difference on the freedom in America.
