Sometimes mistakes are made and other times we are blatantly lied to, or they keep information from the public. A young man named Edward Snowden, exposed the American government and their violations of the Fourth Amendment. Americans have always been proud of their rights, the right of freedom of speech, and privacy among others. What Snowden proved however was that the government was violating their right to privacy. Now he is called a criminal, traitor, and whistleblower but all he did was expose what the government was doing, something they should’ve never done. He simply stood up for American rights that he believed were violated by the National Security Agency. Snowden harmed no one, he simply gave the public information that the government kept hidden. He knew what would happen if he went through with it all but he still did it for the
