There once was a village of the name Rupal. Rupal was located in the outskirts of New Delhi, India. It had a calm environment, where everyone was treated with respect. The village was populated by a majority of Hindus. People with other ethnicities had never lived in the village, and didn 't dare want to. It was strange for the village folk to see a person from a different ethnicity, with their own stereotypes and believes about various religions being contradictory to the Hindu religion.

He, his wife and his 6 year old son had recently moved into the village about a month ago. They had been forced out of their previous village for being Muslims and were aiming to get a fresh start away from the previous trauma they had suffered.
Salim was a helpful and civilized man. He was always there when someone required assistance and would never say no. Even though it had been only 1 month since Salim and his family moved into the village, he had created a special bond with the sarpanch of the village. The sarpanch was the spokesman of the village and was in control of what should be done amongst village folk. The spokesman of the village went by the name of Dev, a nick name for his real name, Davinder. Dev was a calm and collected man who knew what would be the best of things in certain situations.
Though Salim and his family had created a strong bond with the sarpanch of the village, they did not create a good bond with the rest of the village folk. The people of the village were shocked ever since they saw the Islamic family move. Neighbours slowly one by one gathered into their household with their worried being. They all were scared at the moment, and believed that they should turn back from the situation and just leave, but they believed that it would be rude.

Everyone sat down and began to feast on the luxurious food that was prepared for the special occasion. As people ate, they all looked in various directions. They were looking for the cow that was recently bought from the market. It was nowhere in their site, the suspicions of the cow grew amongst the neighbors as they stared around the house.
“Salim, where is the cow you bought from the market a while ago?” Said Rakesh.
“What cow do you speak of?”
