Peace Camp Identity Analysis

Throughout the past four years, I have had many different identities to many different people. I have been a daughter, sister, friend, student, tutor, teammate, team captain, and so much more; my favorite role to play, however, has been that of a camp counselor. Since the summer of my sophomore year, I have volunteered at the Peace and Justice Center’s “Peace Camp for Kids,” a program geared towards helping underprivileged children, accepting them as they are, and convincing them that they are worthy of respect, affection, and dignity. Peace Camp has become an integral part of my identity; my experience there has been, by far, the most rewarding and influential experience that I have ever had.
