PE should be a core class because PE affects kid’s health. I know this because the author stated a report from the Institute of Medicine recommends 60 min of vigorous or moderate-intensity PE every day. This report shows children need at least 60 minutes of moderate to intense exercise daily. The report also stated exercise needs to be spread throughout the day. Mark Terry, President of the National Association of Elementary School Principals, stated this was “A great goal, but a difficult one.”
