It particularly draws on the work of the Field Operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. It also reflects international good practice developed by other organizations, including the European Commission, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development/ Development Assistance Committee, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development/World Bank. Many individuals played an instrumental role in bringing together the programmatic and administrative sides of project work to develop the manual.
