1. Documentation Inspection Requirement
2. Dimension & Hole Size Measuring Report
3. Laser Code Requirement
4. Labelling
Documentation Inspection Requirement provides the QC inspector with the list of items or documents that he/she has to look out for during the Incoming Inspection. For example, the QC inspector would have to carry out a visual inspection on each PCBA. This is to ensure that the solder mask on the PCBA is applied correctly to prevent oxidation and bridging from occurring between closely spaced solder pads. If the PCBA is found with discrepancy, the QC inspector has to reject the PCBA and write in the remark column why he/she rejected the PCBA.
Dimension & Hole Size Measuring Report provides the QC inspector with reports which contains hole & slot size and the outline dimension. The QC inspector is required to check the hole size and hole wall thickness by measuring the size and …show more content…
The purpose of the labelling is for a clear and accurate identification of the PCBA Part Number (P/N), Date Code (DC) and the Serial Number (S/N). The labelling is done differently depending on the project. For example, the requirement for project 758 is P/N: YYY44XXX-X (Rev A/B/C); where YYY is the project code, S/N: YYY (PCBA) XXX and DC: MMYY. The S/N and DC are separated for project 758 whereas for project 714, the S/N and DC are on the same line. Figure 7 is an image of the FCC to show how the PCBA should be labelled according to the
