PC Versus Console Personal computer (PC) gamers and console gamers have fought for many years over which system is better for playing video games. People choose which side they are on based on how they want to experience gaming. Those that prefer console gaming, like to be able to sit down, grab a controller, and start playing right away. In addition, they typically do not want to play games that take forever to learn and understand. On the flip side, PC gamers usually like to play games that require huge amounts of time to learn and understand. A lot of times, the games they play take countless hours of work in order to finish only one task. There are many arguments about the different aspects of both console and PC gaming. First off, the CPU cannot be changed in a console because it is specifically tailored to only fit on the motherboard of a console, not a computer. Therefore, even if an attempt is made to change the processor, the system would be rendered inoperable. Primarily, taking out the processor would almost definitely destroy a portion of the circuitry on the motherboard. Secondly, the warranty will be violated the moment the console is opened up. As a result, if the console is opened and damage is caused to the motherboard, it can no longer be sent in to be repaired or taken back to the store because it has been tampered with. Happily, the processor in a console does not ever need to be changed (PC Gaming). This is because consoles are built to be able to play every game that will be made for that device. Regardless of whether a game is made in the beginning when the console first came out, or a month before the next generation of that console is released, the game will still run flawlessly. In addition, the CPU in all new consoles is from AMD. This means gamers that are devoted to Intel processors, are out of luck. Both the Xbox One and the PS4 are built using an 8-core Jaguar processor and are clocked between 1.6 GHz and 1.7 GHz.
