This movement resulted in the racial differentiation and conflict between the craft unionism and the industrial unionism. During 1905, the labour council broke into conflict with the trade and Labour Congress due to the closeness of the American craft unions. This situation worsens more when the World War II took place. This had negative consequences on the workers who were either assisting or criticizing in the war. The union membership which was acting as the supporting system to the working class Canadians were cut into half during the period of the war. As the World War II progressed, the insufficiency of the working class labour resulted in more and more strike. As a result the government forced the employers to settle the dispute with the workers to keep the production going. The growing economy resulted in the inflation and struggle for the working class Canadians to cope up with the increase cost of living. As a result this gave boost to increase in strike activity and union membership. The discrimination between the race, craft or industrial union, socialist or non-socialist divided the working class Canadians and weakened their goals. Some of the regulation put forth in the PC 1003 was good thing for both the workers as well as for the unions. During 19th century Canada experienced the period of industrialization. The period of industrialization came up with increase in the demand of the workers. However, the working condition affected badly for the working class Canadians. The factors that affected most to the working class were poor wage, dangerous and unsafely working conditions etc. This discontent among the workers led to the conflict with the employers. This attempt led to the protest and strike among the workers. The workers demanded the employers for the fair wage, shorter work hours and safety working conditions. The codes of the order-in-council PC 1003 of union certification to recognize the union made the workers difficult to trust union as they were in the early stage of establishment. The unions faced difficulty in negotiating with the employers because it lacked the experience of negotiating. The employers took serious actions against the union for satisfying the demand of the workers.
