Group topic: What is the Payoff
Today’s session focused on assisting group members in identifying motivation for being in recovery. Group members were to complete “The Payoff Matrix” by brainstorming the Pros and Cons of staying clean and sober VS continuing substance use. Then, group members were to discuss and share how to stay motivated throughout difficult times w/o returning to the old destructive behavior.
PO was on time and participated adequately in the group activity. PO self disclosed his recent relapse in group, changed his last use date to 02-11-2016. PO shared thoughts, feelings, and behavior that led to relapse with peers, and received supportive feedback from group members and group facilitator. PO appeared to be dispointed
