Paying Student Athletes

You’re sitting on your living room couch wearing your college colors. You watch, as your favorite college team plays. As they score the winning point you ask yourself: Should college athletes be paid to play sports? They work hard and play well but should they get paid to do so? Universities should treat their student athletes as students and not a paid professionals.

Sports are extracurricular activities. I personally do not play sports, but I used to. I one puts the time and dedication into playing sports one can become an amazing athlete. Scholarships for colleges can be giving and the social aspect is truly magnificent. But college student shouldn’t be payed to play in college. Students should be focusing on their future and class.
