2.5. To increase the validity of the study we chose to cater to participants who claimed to have previously stayed more than once in a green hotel for the past twelve monpths as either for business or leisure purposes, and who have indicated that they were willing to pay to stay in an environmentally friendly hotel.
2.6.The study will use surveys to sample 400 travelers over the age of 18 in the Greater Miami area. Ten green hotels and ten non-green hotels will be used. Using 400 participants will keep the sample big enough in order to have a decent sample size. We are hoping this number maximizes the response rate.
2.7. This study will be double blind. No information about why the study is being conducted or who is conducting it will be provided to the respondents. We believe this is best since we are comparing respondents’ preferences and expectations.
2.8.The controls are green and non-green hotels, since we are comparing two groups of participants.
