Pay Gap Among Women

With female leaders in the Fortune 500 having phenomenal numbers over the past decade, the exceedingly high numbers of female graduates from college, and women placing families on the back burner there is no longer an excuse for the wage gap amongst men and women. There are more than enough laws in place starting with The Pay Act of 1963 to the new Lilly Ledbetter Act of 2009 to shrink the huge margin between men and women in pay equity. Unbeknownst to Ms. Ledbetter, she had been paid less than her male counterparts for several years until she received anonymous notes informing her of the pay gap. Ethically speaking it is time for corporations to change their idea of how women should be treated and compensated. The Kantian theory of deontology
