Everybody in their lives has made a choice that wasn’t the best decision, or on the other hand a great decision. In the book Tangerine the main character Paul Fisher felt that his choice was best for him. He wanted to be the goalie for his new middle school, Tangerine Middle. Paul felt amazing for what position he wanted to try out for, as it’s revealed when he states, “It’s ok with me if you can’t pay attention to both, just let go to Tangerine Middle. Do you understand? I wouldn’t want to be a Waterboy there, I’d be the goalie” (Bloor 94). In the book, Tangerine Paul’s decision made a rhythm in the novel, without his decision there would be a purpose for the book. It drove the story till the end. Paul’s parents agreed with his recommendation
