When I was doing an OPVL with my classmates in history, the article that I had to read from was called “Reagan did it,” written by Paul Krugman. Throughout reading the article, I noticed that much of Krugman’s points were only the flaws of Reagan during his presidency. Krugman did not mention any good things that Reagan did, therefore, I came to the conclusion that this was an anti-Reagan reading and that Krugman himself must have been anti-Reagan as well. The only way of knowing I used to come to this conclusion was my reasoning. My reasoning allowed me to take note of the points Krugman asserted, and from those points, analyze the meaning behind it which helped me understand and write for the purpose, value, and limitation part of the
