The Story
Patty O’Burger is from Brooklyn New York. Her mom is Filet Mignon and dad is Pot Roast. Her parents own a diner right under the Brooklyn Bridge with a great view of Manhattan. She is the oldest of three burgers. Her sister Kobe is very pretty and quite popular and her brother Angus is the star of the burger football team. Patty dreams about visiting France and Patty wants to make her dreams come true. She reads all the books possible on France. She is so impressed that France makes over 300 cheeses! She plots her plan to hide in a crate of tomatoes being shipped. Monday night she tells her family and needs to chase her dream but will miss them and loves them very much au avoir! The family helps her get settled into the tomato crate and Patty’s mom packed her a New York bagel for the journey!
Patty didn’t realize how long her trips would take. She doses off and then feels this great jolt as the aircraft lands in Paris! She is so excited! She is unloaded from the plane and put into another truck. As the truck goes along the road she can finally peek out and can see the glimpse of the Eiffel Tower! She had seen so many pictures of it and now it brings a tear to her eye.
The truck stops right in front of the Eiffel Tower at Café Suffern. She knows it will be tricky to get out of the tomato crate and note be seen. As the manager, Pierre, is shouting at the workers where to place the boxes, Patty is confused as to what Pierre is saying. She has learned only a few French words, for example, bonjour and merci. As Pierre is yelling it gives her an opportunity to slip out of the crate. She can see the sign for “toilettes” which means bathroom so she sneaks inside to get ready. She had packed slices of American cheese and will make her hair long so she looks like a movie star. She opens up the ketchup packet and applies it on her lips and then gives a pinch on her …show more content…
She gladly accepts and they stroll past the Eiffel Tower and toward the Seine River. The boat ride takes them past the many places Patty had read about. She can’t believe she is going past Notre Dame, Louvre, Musee D’Orsay and so much more. As the boat circles around the original Statue of Liberty it bring a tear to her eyes as the French had given the Statue of Liberty in New York as a gift. It was a very touching moment.
Franck wants to show Patty everything in France. He decides to broaden her world and introduce her to French Dijon mustard. He takes her to the beautiful store, Mielle, which is the most famous mustard shop with an amazing assortment. She has only known yellow mustard and not aware there were so many choices.
They stroll down the Rue de Rivoli and Franck invites her to the famous hot chocolate salons Angelina’s. They are seated at a beautiful table overlooking the Louvre gardens. She has never had such a thick and creamy hot chocolate with the whip cream
