Patron Saint For Confirmation Is St. Sebastian

My chosen saint for confirmation is St. Sebastian. Saint Sebastian would be the patron saint for whom watches over active athletes, as well as the patron saint of archers. The reason that he was chosen for my confirmation, would be because I am an athlete and I play softball. With all the dangers that could come from the game of softball, it is great that we athletes are constantly being watched over by him.

Sebastian was born in Narbonne, Gaul, part of modern France. Sebastian was the son of a wealthy Roman family and was educated in Milan. He also acquired the position of officer of the Imperial Roman army, and captain of the guard. He was a favorite of Diocletian and during Diocletian‘s persecution of the Christians, Sebastian visited them
