Patriotic McCain’s essay has allowed me to create my own definition of patriotic. Through this essay I was able to put together that the word means to be loyal to one's country, and to honor their country. Throughout the essay it showed how even through imprisonment the men were still able to show love to the flag, because they are devoted to their country they somehow found a way to create a flag so that they could say the Pledge of Allegiance. Through Allegiance you are committed to always show pride, and faithfulness. I’ve also determined that even though you could be struggling like the men in the passage you could always find a way to show that you support your country.
